Enjoy a day tour of Kalabsha Temple and the Nubian Museum in Aswan!
A Memphis Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel for a visit to Kalabsha Temple.
Kalabsha Temple was relocated to a hill near the High Dam.
Built by Thutmose II and Amenophis II, the temple was originally 40 miles south of Aswan and was restored during the Roman period.
Next, visit the Nubian Museum, which opened in 1997. It showcases thousands of antiquities saved from Lake Nasser’s rising waters. The museum’s name comes from the ancient Egyptian word “Nbu,” meaning gold, referring to the region’s famous gold mines. You’ll also enjoy life-size displays of Nubian life.
